Dr. Michael DeYoung, M.D.
Dr. Michael DeYoung, M.D. was born and raised in Peoria, Illinois. He attended the university of Illinois, graduating in 1968. After graduation, Dr. DeYoung joined the Peace Corps working in the potable water project in Thailand for two years before attending medical school at Georgetown University. He graduated from medical school in 1974 and moved to sunny Southern California to begin a three-year residency of internal medicine at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. In 1978, he then completed a second residency in emergency medicine at Los Angeles County/University of Southern California.
Dr. DeYoung is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Medicine. During his extensive career he worked full time in emergency medicine until later retiring in 2017. In 43 years of Emergency Medicine, Dr. DeYoung can say he’s seen just about everything as it relates to patient care.
Today, Dr. DeYoung is the Medical Director for LaSara Medical Group in Tustin, California. He has found his second career in men’s sexual health to be exciting and rewarding. His detailed approach to medicine helps provide his patients a comprehensive approach to treating their medical conditions.
Dr. Howard Taekman, M.D.
Dr. Howard Taekman, M.D., F.A.C.S., was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He attended medical school in his home town of Chicago before interning at George Washington University Hospital. Upon completing his internship, he started his general surgery training at Boston City Hospital. He later spent two years in the US Navy as the Chief of Surgery for the test pilot school of Patuxent River Naval Station. In 1973, he left the Navy and started his own private practice of general surgery which he eventually retired from after 35 years of patient care. Over the last 22 years he has been the Medical Director of the Level II Trauma Center for Contra Costa and Solano Counties. In the last four years, Dr. Taekman has been sharing his knowledge as a clinical instructor at University of Southern California’s Kech School of Medicine.
Today, Dr. Taekman is the Medical Director of LaSara Medical Group in Beverly Hills, California. He finds our low intensity focused shockwave treatment to be an exciting modality for men’s sexual health and an amazing option for men looking to achieve a normal and spontaneous sex life.
